A knowledge transfer from Italian to Spanish students
It was held on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018, in Málaga (Spain), hosted by Cluster Marítimo-Marino de Andalucía and with the support of representatives of Ecodynamics Group from University of Siena, the event called “BLUE FUTURE GENERATIONS exploring blue energy with students”.
The event involved students from Istituto Tecnico Liceo Sarrocchi from Siena (Italy) and Spanish students of I.E.S. Casabermeja: the Italian students flew to Spain to explain to their peers what they learnt about blue marine energy thanks to the collaboration with MAESTRALE project partner, University of Siena, and to show them the prototype of the offshore wind turbine with vertical axis they have constructed.
The event follows activities developed by UniSiena for the European Researcher Night “Bright - La Notte dei Ricercatori in Toscana” when have organized the event “Fonte Gaia Marina” last September, 28th 2018.
The event has been opened by Alicia Blanco (CMMA representative) and Nicoletta Patrizi (on behalf of Ecodynamics group, the Lead Partner of MAESTRALE project) with a summary of MAESTRALE project and activities carried out with students. Then Professor Leonardo Consortini and Prof. Elisa Bennati gave a presentation on the Istituto Sarrocchi and all activities carried out in collaboration with Ecodynamics Group within the MAESTRALE project. After that, students Angioli Irene, Muscalu Teodora, Dainelli Mirko and Scacciaferro Pietro described their experience in creating the prototype of the offshore wind turbine with vertical axis.
The prototype was then re-assembled together by Italian and Spanish students and tested: and was functioning!
The event Blue Future Generations demonstrated that sharing knowledge, especially experiential knowledge, is a key ingredient for innovation.
